About the Role

Sonepar Canada, Inc. is a leading distributor of electrical, industrial, and safety products, with a strong presence in the Canadian market. We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Director to join our team and drive our compensation strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement compensation programs that align with our business objectives and market standards.
  • Develop and manage compensation budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Lead job evaluation processes, including job analysis, job descriptions, and job grading.
  • Conduct analysis and benchmarking of compensation data to maintain competitiveness and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management and HR partners on compensation matters.
  • Champion timely and robust data collection and analysis processes to support research and market studies.
  • Prepare detailed compensation reports and presentations for executive leadership and the board of directors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and expertise in data and financial modeling and scenario planning.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the ability to prioritize business requirements.
