Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong project management capabilities, effectively overseeing multiple initiatives from inception to completion while adhering to strict timelines.
- Craft compelling proposals and related development materials, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Exhibit a profound understanding of the institution's rich history and a strong commitment to social justice, alongside a dedication to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) as well as truth and reconciliation.
- Lead a diverse team of managers and staff, aligning their efforts with the University's fundraising priorities and fostering relationships with alumni.
- Collaborate with the Alumni Association to enhance the global network of over 39,000 alumni through innovative programs that strengthen lifelong connections.
- Utilize your extensive expertise to inspire, develop, and mentor team members, while enhancing engagement both within the University and in the broader community.
- Work closely with senior management to secure financial support for the University, establishing best practices and strategies for the Advancement team.
- Leverage your fundraising acumen to support both established and emerging funding priorities, including significant upcoming campaigns.
The ideal candidate for the Chief Advancement Officer position is a strategic, dynamic, and solutions-oriented leader, well-versed in the fundraising landscape and experienced across all facets of Advancement operations, including relationship management, data oversight, team leadership, and communications.
