Position Overview

Join the ROC Society as a Residential Support Specialist in a temporary role dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with diverse needs. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your contributions can make a significant impact.

Work Details
  • Work Term: Temporary
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months or equivalent experience
Work Environment

This role is situated in a group home setting, where teamwork and collaboration are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs.
  • Implement and monitor behavior management programs tailored to individual clients.
  • Coordinate with other social service agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
Required Certifications
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate

  • Fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Weight Handling

Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
