Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to join our Life Sciences business unit in Kanata. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for facilities and laboratories, working closely with clients to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems for facilities and laboratories, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Provide conceptual and detailed design, analysis, and documentation for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and telecommunications.
  • Collaborate with clients to prepare and validate proposed scope of work, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work, working closely with other disciplines to meet schedule and budget commitments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management, ensuring clear and concise communication of technical information.
  • Work effectively within a collaborative team environment, directing and mentoring junior engineers and designers as needed.
Requirements
  • Eight years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Minimum four years of experience using REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation.
  • Experience with electrical calculation tools, including lighting and power software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  • Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, and IEEE.
  • Canadian Citizenship required for client projects.
