Job Title: Social Worker

At Health Sciences Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide professional, skilled psychosocial assessment and interventions to individuals, families, and groups, utilizing their expertise to assist clients in coping with and adapting to health-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual counseling to individuals and couples, and family therapy where indicated.
  • Facilitate group work and participate in team planning and problem-solving.
  • Develop client educational materials and participate in professional and research programs.
  • Participate in clinical teaching and supervision of social work students.
Requirements
  • Master of Social Work (MSW) from a Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE) accredited school/faculty.
  • Postgraduate training in specialized services preferred.
  • Registration with Manitoba College of Social Workers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams. They will be required to work independently and with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong commitment to the profession of social work and the Canadian Association of Social Work (CASW) Code of Ethics and Manitoba College of Social Workers Standards of Practice.
