Job Description

Job Title: Arabic and Islamic Instructor

Job Summary:

The York Region District School Board is seeking a qualified Arabic and Islamic Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and supervision in the Tahfeeth program under the direction of the school Principal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and instruct students in the Tahfeeth program
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to promote optimal learning
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to a safe and caring school environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Arabic/Islamic Studies
  • Previous experience as an Arabic and Islamic Instructor is an asset
  • Strong work ethic and ability to relate well with students, staff, and parents
  • Commitment to fostering collaborative working relationships and promoting a safe and caring school environment

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check, including a vulnerable sector check, and a Social Insurance Number card or document issued by Service Canada.
