About the Role

The Palliser School Division is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Arabic and Islamic Studies Instructor to join our team at Horizon Leadership Academy. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in promoting Islamic values and culture, while supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and instruct students in religious language in the Tahfeeth program
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of all learners
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve practice and maximize student learning
  • Support the integration of Islamic teachings throughout the curriculum
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Arabic/Islamic Studies
  • Previous experience as an Arabic and Islamic Instructor (asset)
  • Successful Criminal Record Check, including vulnerable sectors
  • Strong work ethic, ability to relate well with students, staff, and parents
  • Commitment to fostering collaborative working relationships and promoting a safe and caring school environment
