Job Title: Family Specialist Professional

Bridgeway Family Homes is seeking a highly skilled Family Specialist Professional to support families, children, and youth who are experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. As an independent contractor, you will be part of a collaborative professional team providing services in Foster Homes and the community.

Job Summary:

We are looking for experienced individuals to provide goal-focused services between 15-25 hours per week, including weekday evenings, weekends, and occasional daytime sessions. Responsibilities include communication with the team, providing scheduled services, developing goal-focused activities, case notes, and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Care or a related field from a recognized college or university.
  • 2-5 years of experience providing services to children, youth, and families with critical needs.
  • Current Verbal De-escalation Certification and experience in crisis prevention.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other diagnoses is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and report-writing skills.
Requirements:
  • Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Current Child Welfare Record Check.
  • Driver's Abstract and Class "G" Driver's License.
  • Access to an insured vehicle with $2 million liability insurance.
  • Computer and personal email address.
