The Fort McKay First Nation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Director to lead the Elsie Fabian School. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that meet the needs of students, while also promoting the cultural and linguistic heritage of the Fort McKay community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs that align with the Fort McKay First Nation's education vision and goals.
- Lead a team of educators and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
- Collaborate with community members, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that educational programs meet the needs of the community.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure the effective use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in education leadership or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of First Nations education and cultural practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
