Procurement Expertise

The Procurement Specialist will be accountable for full lifecycle procurement activities for a portfolio of medium-to-high complexity procurement packages for the Canadian Surface Combatant program, inclusive of systems, equipment, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure accurate and timely advice is provided to the business.
  • Perform supplier management activities, including pre-qualification, supplier engagement, and supplier performance management.
  • Ensure on-time material delivery and Integrated Master Schedule adherence.
  • Develop and implement Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal.
  • Manage sourcing events to meet cost management and scheduling expectations.
  • Perform contract management activities, including contract preparation, executive briefings, and post-award contract administration.
  • Fulfill Purchase Order management requirements, including invoice review and attestation.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in shipbuilding, aerospace/defense, heavy manufacturing, construction, or relatable industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned procurement tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
