Job Title: Intermediate Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Intermediate Procurement Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for managing the full lifecycle of procurement activities for a portfolio of medium-to-high complexity procurement packages. This role requires a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet business needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance management, and contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide accurate and timely advice on procurement matters.
  • Develop and implement Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) to meet business needs.
  • Manage sourcing events to meet cost management and scheduling expectations.
  • Perform contract management activities, including contract preparation, executive briefings, and post-award contract administration.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in shipbuilding, aerospace/defense, heavy manufacturing, construction, or relatable industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned procurement tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
