Job Title: Intermediate Procurement Specialist
Job Summary:
The Intermediate Procurement Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for managing the full lifecycle of procurement activities for a portfolio of medium-to-high complexity procurement packages. This role requires a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet business needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance management, and contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide accurate and timely advice on procurement matters.
- Develop and implement Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) to meet business needs.
- Manage sourcing events to meet cost management and scheduling expectations.
- Perform contract management activities, including contract preparation, executive briefings, and post-award contract administration.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in shipbuilding, aerospace/defense, heavy manufacturing, construction, or relatable industries.
- Demonstrated ability to complete assigned procurement tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and maintain high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
