Position Overview
The Paint Operations Supervisor is acknowledged as the head of the painting department. This role encompasses the responsibility for the strategic planning, scheduling, and coordination of employee tasks, ensuring that both productivity and quality benchmarks are achieved within a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities
The supervisor will be accountable for the following:

  • Planning: Ensure that necessary resources are accessible when required.
  • Scheduling: Allocate work shifts, track progress, and communicate any discrepancies.
  • Coordination: Distribute tasks, set priorities, and oversee daily operations related to assigned responsibilities.

Maintain the quality of work to meet the organization's minimum standards. Foster an understanding among staff regarding quality expectations and advocate for the significance of maintaining high standards.

Supervisory Duties
Oversee the overall management, accountability, and guidance of all direct reports, which includes:

  • Recruitment and hiring processes
  • Onboarding and training initiatives
  • Monitoring attendance and performance

The supervisor is tasked with optimizing the production output of their department while minimizing operational costs through lean manufacturing practices. They hold the legal obligation to ensure that their designated area is safe and that all personnel receive adequate training to promote maximum safety in the workplace.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma and/or technical certification
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity within a manufacturing or production setting
  • Familiarity with industrial painting processes and materials is advantageous
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and the MS Office Suite
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Previous experience in the aviation sector or a related industry is preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English
  • Availability to work evening shifts and weekends
