About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team at Acosta. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' merchandising initiatives and building strong relationships with store managers and department heads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandising Execution: Ensure that planograms and instructions are executed with precision, including setting up displays, fixtures, and walls.
  • Time Management: Plan and organize store visits on assigned territories, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with supervisors and team members, as needed, to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in mandatory online and in-field training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with key contacts in stores.
  • Reporting: Complete daily visit reports, including data submissions and photos of completed tasks, using our production reporting technology.
  • Flexibility: Be comfortable with occasional regional travel (up to 60 minutes) and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • Merchandising Experience: While prior experience is preferred, it is not essential; equivalent experience will be considered, and training will be provided.
  • Attention to Detail: Execute planogram changes with precision.
  • Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet all deadlines.
  • Physical Abilities: Our team frequently works in retail environments that may require lifting large fixtures and displays, as well as unpacking various grocery products. The ideal candidate must be able to lift 30-50 pounds, bend, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
  • Enthusiasm: Be energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and open to change as our team grows and accepts diverse clients. It is essential to apply prior merchandising experience to new client initiatives.
  • Effective Communication: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Regional Travel: Comfortable with occasional regional travel (up to 60 minutes).
  • Technophile: Proficient in using mobile devices and capturing high-quality photos of completed work.
