Job Summary

The Resident Care Manager is a key leadership position responsible for promoting an environment that supports excellence in resident care and staff empowerment. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective management of human and financial resources, and partnerships with internal and external services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of resident care areas using an interdisciplinary approach
  • Evaluation of nursing service
  • Staff selection, development, motivation, and performance appraisal
  • Management of change in a dynamic environment
  • Implementation of various resident/staff related projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline
  • Master's degree in the applicable area preferred
  • Minimum of five years progressive management experience, including experience in the resident-focused care philosophy
  • Experience in geriatrics preferred
  • Experience using Meditech Payroll and/or Scheduling preferred
Competencies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of geriatric and long-term care issues
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills
