Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our 6C Oncology unit. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient-centered care to patients with oncology diagnoses and general medicine conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Recent acute care medical experience.
- Advanced RPN and assessment skills, including aseptic technique, N/G insertion, suctioning, and airway maintenance.
- Organized and able to work in a team environment.
- Caring, compassionate, customer-focused attitude towards patients and families.
