Position Overview:
The Completion Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and implementing NOV Completion Tools equipment at various job sites. This role involves meticulous management of equipment, ensuring accurate measurements and documentation while assisting clients with tool installations. The specialist will also engage in sales and service initiatives, fostering relationships with customers and contributing to business growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all phases of job preparation, tool assembly, deployment, and installation to guarantee complete customer satisfaction.
  2. Identify potential issues with equipment operation and maintain clear communication with clients and internal operations.
  3. Ensure thorough preparations are completed, equipment is operational, and all pre-installation checks are documented accurately.
  4. Supervise the installation of equipment at client job sites.
  5. Maintain regular communication with client representatives on-site.
  6. Generate comprehensive reports detailing all activities at the well site before and during installation.
  7. Account for and measure all NOV equipment against job specifications.
  8. Conduct hydraulic calculations including displacements, capacities, buoyancies, and pressures, documenting findings on schematics and reports.
  9. Complete installation reports, schematics, and field tickets with precision.
  10. Demonstrate availability and readiness for work during on-call rotations.
  11. Assist with daily shop operations as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of five years of experience in conventional completion and coil tools.
  2. Extensive technical knowledge of downhole tools, including liner hangers, packers, stage tools, and annulus casing packers.
  3. Comprehensive understanding of Completion Tools operations, including rebuilding and teardown processes.
  4. Ability to evaluate wellbore conditions and identify potential issues prior to development.
  5. Understanding of downhole hydraulics and its impact on tool functionality and setup.
  6. Capability to perform necessary calculations related to downhole hydraulics, displacements, tallies, and tubing movements.
  7. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering handbooks.
  8. Experience with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  9. Must be located in or around the designated area.
  10. Willingness to undergo a Physical Test.
  11. Clean driving record is essential.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Requirements:

  1. Orientation to shop environment, including safety exits, fire extinguishers, first aid stations, and spill kits.
  2. Physical activities such as standing, walking, squatting, bending, and reaching will be required.
  3. Compliance with all applicable Field Service on-site ticket requirements as directed by HSE management.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and documentation.
  5. Training in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for potential hazards.
  6. Completion of WHMIS training.
