Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

At BAR BURRITO MEXICAN GRILL, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and organize daily restaurant operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and supply ordering.
  • Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to improve performance and achieve goals.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including food, supplies, and equipment, to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for all customers.
  • Balance cash and record sales to ensure accurate financial reporting and minimize losses.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Reliability and dependability in meeting commitments and deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence.
