Job Overview:
Graymont Limited is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated individual to take on the role of Procurement & Inventory Coordinator. This position is integral to the company's procurement and inventory oversight processes, adhering to the principles of the Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP). The successful candidate will engage in continuous communication and collaboration with various specialists and departments within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess purchase requests from multiple departments.
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations to identify products and services that meet financial management objectives.
  • Generate and oversee purchase orders, ensuring precision in financial allocations.
  • Adhere to procurement protocols and execute high-standard purchasing transactions in line with company policies.
  • Facilitate effective interactions between internal stakeholders and suppliers to fulfill requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships across the supply chain.
  • Keep purchase records and associated data current.
  • Designate specific storage locations for spare components and ensure effective inventory control.
  • Regularly assess and remove outdated inventory items.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in warehouse spaces.
  • Educate maintenance personnel on inventory management systems and ensure proper part handling.
  • Confirm deliveries, promptly stock items, and arrange materials for various operational needs.
  • Efficiently manage consumables and coordinate part transfers among facilities.
  • Enhance part synergies and minimize equipment downtime through strategic procurement.
  • Contribute to shutdown planning and support maintenance operations.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proven safety record and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience or training in supply chain management.
  • Sound mechanical knowledge.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with a willingness to learn JD Edwards.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
