Job Title: Senior Network Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Systems Analyst to join our team at the Government of Nunavut. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network solutions for our enterprise-wide network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network infrastructure solutions for large-scale enterprise networks
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for virtual desktop infrastructure and physical desktop hardware
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions
  • Develop and implement network security protocols to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our network infrastructure remains secure and efficient
Requirements:
  • Recognized diploma in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related engineering program
  • Seven years of recent experience in complex enterprise-wide networks with diverse solutions from multiple vendors
  • Five years of progressive experience in physical and virtual desktop hardware, operating systems, software, and applications support in a medium to large enterprise or government network environment
  • Current vendor certifications such as Microsoft, Novell, Symantec, Dell, F5, and EMC
  • Proven experience in project and contract administration within an enterprise-level IM/ICT environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to satellite network communications
  • Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment
