Job Title: Product Line Lead CPP

At J.R. Simplot Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Line Lead CPP to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and development of value-added focus products and proprietary product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for Simplot Grower Solutions to develop its own proprietary product line to differentiate SGS Canada in creating unique solutions for our customers.
  • Conduct research to understand regulatory needs, market and industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Work with all SGS locations to inform, forecast, and increase sales of focus products, proprietary, and biological. Provide education and technical support.
  • Learn and acquire expertise on biological products to select, support, and help market and sell.
  • Attend grower events and work with the Marketing team and Market Development Lead to provide timely product campaigns.
  • Generate sales for CPP & Seed focus products through internal (AgProve) and external resources.
  • Work with Procurement Leads to ensure accurate positioning of focus/proprietary products throughout the SGS Canada Business Unit.
  • Work with CPP & Seed Manager and Market Development Lead to evaluate new and existing products and determine strategic sourcing options for SGS Canada.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Agriculture is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in CPP & Seed industry or Ag Retail.
  • Up to 25% overnight travel. Additional daytime travel within trade area.
