About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team at River View Hotel. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Facilities Management: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs; perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Health and Safety: Perform safety and security checks; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Seasonal Tasks: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort environment.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, initiative, reliability.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
