Position Summary

The Completions & Workovers Engineer will work closely with the Drilling and Completions Manager and various asset teams to facilitate projects aimed at the development and extraction of unconventional hydrocarbons at PetroChina Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the engineering of technical plans for completions and workover activities
  • Explore innovative technologies and opportunities for cost reduction
  • Deliver technical guidance for well intervention initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution
  • Oversee budget management, timelines, compliance, and project scope
  • Evaluate and report on completion and workover operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer designation with APEGA
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in completions engineering
  • Familiarity with SAGD operations
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Wellview, and SAP
  • Experience with tubular stress analysis software
  • Background in well abandonments is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
