Job Title: Transportation Engineering Survey Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client relationship building and management, including business development activities, proposal preparation, and project budgeting.
  • Effective communication with clients and internal team members (Engineers, Architects, Designers, and Project Managers) in the design and specification development of electrical, lighting, and traffic signal systems projects.
  • Leading and contributing to the successful design, production, coordination, and management of electrical, lighting, and traffic signal systems projects.
  • Developing power distribution, lighting, and auxiliary systems designs in AutoCAD, AGi32 light software, and/or MicroStation.
  • Preparing technical reports, tender documentation, and field support, including commissioning/site inspection.
  • Ensuring engineering deliverables comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures, and sound engineering practices.
  • Reviewing drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical information and project documentation.
  • Directing and mentoring junior staff as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in traffic engineering.
  • Proven experience in the electrical design of municipal roadway lighting and traffic signal systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Safety Code.
  • Proficiency with engineering software, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, and AGi32 lighting design software.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
