Job Summary

PetroChina Canada is seeking a highly skilled Completions & Workovers Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and production of unconventional hydrocarbons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and engineering of technical programs related to completions and workovers, including horizontal tight reservoir well completions and multi-stage fracture stimulation.
  • Provide technical and engineering support for well intervention programs and cost estimates, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and support technical specifications, work scopes, and evaluations for procurement packages for completion materials and services.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to support project development plans and execution, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Monitor and manage program/project budgets, timelines, compliance, and scope, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, with a Professional Engineer designation with APEGA.
  • 5+ years' completions engineering experience with unconventional completions, workover, and production operations.
  • Knowledge of and prior experience in SAGD operations an asset.
  • Dedicated to managing Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Strong understanding of applicable regulatory directives, standards, and IRPs.
  • Well-versed in computer applications, including Microsoft suite, Wellview, and SAP.
