Position Overview

Steamclock is seeking a talented and experienced Lead iOS Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is remote-friendly, with a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $145,000 per year.

Your Role

As a Lead iOS Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Design and develop high-quality iOS applications using Swift.
  • Work on cross-platform projects utilizing tools like Kotlin Multiplatform and React Native.
  • Participate in special initiatives, including open-source libraries and backend APIs.
  • Tackle complex challenges and assess new technologies.
  • Collaborate with small teams to deliver multiple products annually.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of learning and best practices.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and establish efficient processes.
  • Provide constructive feedback on code and technical strategies.
  • Enhance team communication through proactive engagement on platforms like Slack and GitHub.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our team culture and skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing native iOS applications using Swift.
  • Interest in cross-platform application development.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire fellow developers.
  • Strong empathy for teammates, clients, and end-users.
  • Availability to work full-time during Pacific Time business hours.
  • Excellent communication skills in various formats.

Preferred Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in mobile app development.
  • Experience in debugging complex issues.
  • Background in technical leadership or managing small development teams.
  • Experience in startup environments or client-service studios.
  • Passion for creating outstanding customer-facing software.
  • Additional skills in technologies such as Kotlin, React Native, or others.
