Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Nextgen Construction Inc. as a Facilities Maintenance Worker. As a Cleaning and Sanitation Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture and other surfaces to maintain a clean and tidy workspace
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to remove dirt and debris
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Clean and disinfect elevators to ensure a safe and clean environment for employees and clients
  • Provide basic information on facilities to employees and clients
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and tidy environment
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Will train
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, team player, values and ethics
