Position Overview

Join our team at Friendlier as a dedicated Logistics Delivery Specialist. This permanent role involves ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of various items while providing exceptional customer service.

Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years or equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive vehicles, including automobiles, vans, and light trucks, to pick up and deliver products.
  • Maintain professionalism in customer interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch.
  • Document items received and delivered accurately.
  • Load and unload goods efficiently.
  • Sort packages for optimal delivery.
  • Follow navigational instructions and utilize maps.
  • Record trip details, including mileage and fuel costs.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure timely pick-up and delivery of materials.
Required Certifications
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C)
Transportation Experience
  • Local, regional, and provincial/territorial travel
Physical and Personal Requirements
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs).
  • Flexibility and reliability as a team player.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and initiative.
