Job Summary

The Transportation Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation fleet, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of goods. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and analyze daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor Department's Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the transportation fleet and make data-driven decisions.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to ensure the smooth operation of the transportation fleet, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
  • Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of the transportation fleet, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Establish and Implement Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Oversee Transportation Service Rates: Monitor and adjust transportation service rates to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage the inventory of goods and materials, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Record Cargo Information: Track and record cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
