As a Registered Practical Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and prioritize patient needs in the Emergency Department
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Registered Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent education
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BCLS certification
- Two years' experience in emergency or acute medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession
- Membership in professional association specific to nursing service area
