About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage the needs of adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Coronary Care Level 1 preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in Arrhythmia interpretation
  • Current BCLS
  • ACLS course preferred
  • TNCC course preferred
  • PALS or ENPC course preferred
  • Completion of ENCC or Emergency nursing certificate is considered an asset
  • Participation in RNAO/ ENAO/ ENA preferred
  • Two (2) years' experience in emergency or acute medical/surgical nursing preferred
