We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Wah Hing Meat Shop. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meats
    • Clean and trim meats to prepare for processing or cutting
    • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to order
    • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
    • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Meat Handling and Packaging
    • Wrap and package prepared meats for sale
    • Remove bones from meat
    • Weigh meats for sale
  • Customer Service
    • Cut poultry into parts as needed
    • Grind meats to order
    • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
      • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a meat cutting or retail environment
    • Equipment and Machinery Experience
      • Manual cutting utensils
      • Power grinders
      • Slicing machines
    Work Environment

This is a permanent, part-time position working 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
