Senior Linux Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement agile infrastructure solutions that leverage cloud technology to optimize costs and standardize processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement Cloud IaC (Infrastructure as Code) standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with geographically distributed teams to address technical challenges and improve processes.
  • Manage operating systems, load balancers, and web servers, ensuring smooth operation and configuration.
  • Lead the repaving or patching process using IaC automation, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Provide on-call support and take ownership of deliverables, leading the team to achieve excellence.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP is essential, with a preference for GCP.
  • Expertise in Mail Server or SMTP Relay and Source Code Control Management, such as Git, is critical.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins CI/CD is required.
  • Over five years of experience in Linux administration, with extensive knowledge of RedHat, CentOS, Debian, and similar systems.
  • Proficient in Kernel Tuning, Performance Optimization, and Patch Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in SSL Certificate Management and knowledge of protocols, including DNS, LDAP, and SMTP.
  • Expertise in Shell and Python scripting, along with knowledge of observability tools like Elastic, is crucial.
Working Arrangements

We believe in hybrid work arrangements, providing flexibility to our employees. This role requires 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Halifax, NS. We prioritize a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs.
