Senior Partner Engagement Manager
Are you interested in joining a team that is transforming the technology landscape? Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. is at the forefront of the next evolution in computing and is seeking exceptional candidates to cultivate relationships and oversee the success of our Canada-based Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
As a Senior Partner Engagement Manager within AWS, you will have the thrilling opportunity to enhance awareness and adoption of the AWS cloud computing platform among our most significant business partners.
We are committed to continuous improvement and recognize that there are various ways to lead and collaborate. We seek a visionary leader with diverse perspectives who can enrich our organization with their unique industry insights and creativity.
At Amazon, we embody our professional lives by our Leadership Principles. When we recruit, we prioritize those who align with our values rather than those who merely fit a specific resume profile.
To us, diversity in thought and experience is invaluable. We are focused on hiring for attitude and providing training for skills, as we understand that success can be achieved through multiple pathways.
We are in search of an individual who can assist us in redefining what it means to be an exceptional partner to our ISVs and who is genuinely passionate about customer success.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will encompass managing strategic partnerships with our key ISVs to facilitate their global business growth. You will engage with C-level executives, Product Teams, Marketing, Field, and Channel relationships.
By establishing and nurturing business partnerships and executing partner strategies with each assigned partner, you will be accountable for driving revenue growth and enhancing market adoption of ISV solutions operating on AWS.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in partnerships that enables them to foster successful collaborations, engage at the executive level, as well as a sales background that allows for seamless interaction with enterprise clients and AWS sales representatives.
The candidate should also demonstrate a strategic mindset regarding business, product, and technical challenges, with the capability to construct and communicate compelling value propositions.
The role requires experience in managing complex campaigns and partner sales initiatives.
Additionally, a strong technical understanding, along with familiarity with the enterprise ISVs, Startups, and IT ecosystem, is essential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing and collaborating with a select group of new and existing partners to define and implement joint sales and Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies.
- Engaging with the assigned partners' field sales teams, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic business plans, team development, and marketing initiatives that enable partners to achieve their objectives.
- Promoting the partner's solutions and value propositions internally within AWS and externally with partners and customers as identified by the partner.
- Driving specific partner sales revenue through the management of regular pipeline, opportunities, and business reviews with the partner and all internal stakeholders.
- Working closely with the partner's customer base to ensure they are effectively utilizing AWS services.
- Establishing AWS as the partner's preferred cloud computing platform across all product and service offerings.
- Utilizing CRM systems, data warehousing, and other analytical tools to establish detailed metrics for tracking purposes.
- Preparing and delivering business reviews to the senior management team.
- Managing complex contract negotiations and serving as a liaison to the legal department.
About the Team
AWS values diverse experiences.
Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills outlined in the job description, we encourage candidates to consider applying.
If your career is just beginning, has not followed a conventional path, or includes alternative experiences, do not let that deter you from applying.
Why AWS?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud platform globally.
We pioneered cloud computing and have never ceased innovating — that is why customers from the most successful startups to Global 500 companies rely on our extensive suite of products and services to empower their businesses.
Inclusive Team Culture
At AWS, we naturally embrace learning and curiosity. Our employee-led affinity groups cultivate a culture of inclusion that empowers us to take pride in our differences.
Ongoing events and learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences, inspire us to continuously celebrate our uniqueness.
Mentorship & Career Growth
We are consistently raising our performance standards as we strive to become Earth's Best Employer.
That is why you will find abundant knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and other career-advancing resources here to help you grow into a well-rounded professional.
Work/Life Balance
We value work-life harmony.
Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of personal sacrifices, which is why flexible work hours and arrangements are integral to our culture.
When we feel supported in both the workplace and at home, there is nothing we cannot accomplish in the cloud.
Hybrid Work
We value innovation and recognize that this sometimes requires uninterrupted time to focus on development. We also appreciate in-person collaboration and face-to-face interactions.
Our team offers engineers the option to work in the office daily or in a flexible, hybrid work model near one of our Amazon offices.
Our hybrid models provide the freedom to work from home whenever in-office collaboration is not essential.
