Senior Civil Engineering Specialist

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for designing and developing mining and metals projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mining and metals projects from conceptual to detailed design
- Develop and implement site development plans, including pipe and open channel hydraulics
- Design and manage tailings and slurry piping systems
- Develop and implement storm water management plans, including sizing ditches, culverts, and ponds
- Interpret and apply geotechnical design recommendations on civil designs
- Develop and implement coordinate systems and survey controls
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility to register or already registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC
- At least 15 years of experience in civil engineering design within mining, energy, and/or industrial projects
- Strong experience in site development, pipe and open channel hydraulics, and tailings/slurry piping design
- Excellent organizational, technical, communication, and computer skills
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
