About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Specialist to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. - D46. As a key member of our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), you will play a critical role in supporting the growth of Database services in Canada and enabling new capabilities for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with customers to map data and AI services to deliver on their business objectives and outcomes.
  • Develop targeted sales plays and enablement programs to help field teams capture and progress opportunities.
  • Partner with industry teams to identify workloads, such as Generative AI, that impact our database services.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to your aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
  • Collaborate with your GTM colleagues to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and support field marketing to execute local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.
  • Guide and Support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your customers.
Requirements
  • 10+ years design, implementation, consulting experience of distributed applications
  • 7+ years management of technical, customer facing resources
  • 7+ years of Storage experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired.
