Job Title: AV Field Service Engineer

Evertz Microsystems Limited is seeking a highly skilled AV Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support for our AV equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Commission and deliver on-site training for customers on our AV products and systems.
  2. Provide technical direction and support to customers regarding operational issues, firmware upgrades, and general maintenance.
  3. Assess customer product applications, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues to determine root causes.
  4. Systematic and detail-oriented troubleshooting, data collection, and reporting of problems.
  5. Recommend solutions using technical language appropriate to the customer in a timely, clear, and professional manner.
  6. Maintain communication links between customer service and other departments to resolve customer issues and communicate customer feedback.
  7. Coordinate customer and system integrator product inquiries and inform sales teams of potential opportunities.
  8. Support product development and introduction activities by gathering intelligence on functionality, integration details, best practices, and configurations for customer-deployed products required to interoperate with Evertz equipment.
Requirements:
  1. College or university education in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer disciplines.
  2. The ideal candidate will be a new or recent graduate with up to 3 years of experience in a related field.
  3. Experience working with professional AV equipment or equivalent.
  4. Prior experience in a service or customer-facing role is an asset.
  5. Direct experience with server hardware, Linux OS, and IT networking best practices is desirable.
  6. Unparalleled desire to help customers and deliver service excellence.
  7. Passion for technology and learning new technologies, product hardware, and software.
  8. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  9. Self-driven, with a desire to add value to an energetic team, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  10. Proven analytical skills and ability to champion issues to closure.
  11. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Must be eligible for US travel.
  13. Dual Canadian and US citizenship would be an asset.
