About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Security Solutions Data Science team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models that power our flagship product.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with business owners to understand business requirements and performance metrics
* Work with multiple data sources, storage systems, and build processes to provide cohesive datasets for analysis and modeling
* Generate, maintain, and optimize model training pipelines
* Contribute to the implementation of pipelines
* Explore fraudulent patterns and trends for feature discovery and enhance fraud detection model performance
* Participate in hypothesis testing to identify and establish the best-in-class classification models
* Run testing of trained models to ensure their robustness and assess their readiness for deployment

Requirements:

* Strong data engineering and data science experience
* Experience building machine learning models (XGBoost binary classification preferred)
* Knowledge of model optimization techniques and ability to work closely with data scientists
* Experience with XGBoost and strong grasp of data science and machine learning concepts
* Experience with SQL language and one or multiple of the following technologies: Linux / Bash environment, Python
* At least an undergraduate degree in CS, or a STEM related field

Nice to Have:

* Experience building payment fraud detection models
* Graduate degree in CS, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI or a related STEM field
* Experience in data engineering in PySpark on petabyte scale data
* Loves working with error-prone, messy, disparate, semi-structured data
