ADGA Group of Companies is actively seeking multiple Lifecycle Material Management Technicians to contribute to a longstanding Defence Program that has been supported for over two decades.

The roles involve providing lifecycle material management for the following categories:

  • The first position focuses on the maintenance of physical communication systems, including voice and data communication technologies.
  • The second position is centered on the upkeep of tactical sensors, encompassing geomatics systems, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) decision support tools, weapons locating systems, radars, and electronic warfare systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering studies and analyses to deliver technical solutions to specified technical/logistical or operational challenges, including the preparation of Engineering Changes (ECs).
  • Prepare and disseminate Material Change Notices (MCNs) when ECs impact end-items such as part numbers, drawing numbers, manufacturer's codes, quantities, and applicability.
  • Establish standards and criteria pertinent to the maintenance of equipment or systems.
  • Develop, modify, or update specifications and drawings as necessary.
  • Create, revise, or enhance maintenance handbooks, parts lists, operating manuals, and technical instructions.
  • Execute configuration management tasks.
  • Monitor and report on materials under management, including cataloguing activities, spare parts, replacement components, obsolescence issues, upgrade options, and divestment actions.
  • Analyze maintenance, repair, and overhaul data.
  • Investigate Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCRs) and Technical Failure Reports (TFRs).
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid SECRET level clearance with Public Works/PSPC. A DND clearance can be duplicated if it remains active.
  • Candidates should have experience as a Technician (in any technical field) within the Canadian Forces.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, including requirements, specifications, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, and equipment disposal plans.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in: developing briefing notes and presentations addressing technical and logistics issues related to equipment; liaising with stakeholders to support lifecycle management of equipment; providing advice and recommendations on technical matters to assist senior decision-making; utilizing a recognized Process framework or LCMM Handbook; working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP) for equipment cataloguing and distribution; maintaining and developing checklists; evaluating and addressing deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports (TFR) and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports; and analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements (SOR) and reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDP).

Educational Background:

  • Candidates should ideally hold a college diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology, or a relevant technical field necessary to support LCSS (Land Command Support Systems/Military related).
  • Alternatively, a demonstrated Qualification Level 6B (QL6B) in a relevant technical field (within the Canadian Forces) is required to support LCSS, along with a minimum substantive rank of Warrant Officer in the Canadian Forces.
