Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at MANITOBA LTD. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Operate and Drive Straight or Articulated Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Oversee Vehicle Condition and Inspect Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
  • Receive and Relay Information to Central Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Record Cargo Information and Hours of Service: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Driver's License Class 1 or A: Hold a valid Driver's License Class 1 or A.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Long Haul Truck Driver is an asset.
