LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Seasonal Contract
As a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, your primary duties will include:
Preparing water and soil samples for laboratory examination. This encompasses tasks such as sample extraction, preparation of standards and reagents, maintenance and calibration of instruments, conducting analyses, reporting results, and troubleshooting issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze LIMS summary reports to effectively plan and organize your daily tasks while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Conduct sample preparation and related procedures prior to analyses. Prepare samples, sub-samples, and reagents, ensuring all samples, extracts, and standard solutions are accurately labeled and stored appropriately. Execute basic testing procedures, recognize non-routine samples, and seek guidance on handling protocols. Meet quality and turnaround time specifications set by clients, ensuring samples are analyzed within required holding times. Adhere to laboratory protocols and ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain a standard laboratory environment. Availability for shift work, overtime, and weekend duties is essential. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.You are an ideal candidate for the LABORATORY TECHNICIAN role if you possess:
