Laboratory Team Lead

About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of Medical Laboratory Technicians in a fast-paced and innovative work environment. As a Laboratory Supervisor at IDEXX, you will be responsible for supervising a team of laboratory professionals, coordinating workflow, and overseeing costs and metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your passion for coaching and developing employees to help them reach business goals and their full potential.
- Organize staff schedules, coordinate workflow, and oversee costs and metrics to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
- Problem-solve every day, from troubleshooting diagnostic analyzers to resolving situational workflow and turnaround time challenges.
- Be a business leader and a people leader for the lab and the line of business.
- Bring your passion and enthusiasm for teamwork, success, innovation, and excellence to your role every day.
Requirements:
- Ability to work nights.
- Direct supervisory experience of 10+ employees in a fast-paced and/or high-volume work environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of human clinical or veterinary testing and procedures.
- Love a fast-paced, high-volume, innovative work environment.
- Passionate about people leadership.
- Excited about the opportunity to use your skills and abilities in promoting the health and well-being of animals.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing and sitting for extended periods, phone and computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability.
