About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of E-commerce Operations to join our team at Open Farm Pet. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to drive business growth and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute E-commerce Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of e-commerce professionals to drive high performance and professional growth.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Lead initiatives to enhance the website experience, customer journey, and overall conversion rates to drive business growth.
  • Subscriptions and Retention: Grow the subscription business and optimize the retention funnel to increase customer loyalty and revenue.
  • Merchandising and Operations: Collaborate closely with the operations team to manage DTC inventory, promotions, and optimize digital merchandising on the website.
  • Analytics and Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize existing resources and the current tech stack for data analysis to drive key decisions and explore additional analytic tools as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, and internal teams, to gather insights, prioritize needs, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with creative, innovation, marketing, and other departments to ensure successful product development, promotions, and go-to-market execution.
Requirements
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in senior leadership or managing e-commerce P&L, with a proven track record of leading a successful e-commerce team.
  • Customer Focus: A deep understanding of customer psychology and how to leverage it to drive conversions while providing exceptional service to customers.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic e-commerce plans and make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data and metrics to drive decision-making and product improvements.
