About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Chrysta ABA Academy Society. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students
    • Teach students using a variety of instructional strategies, including lessons, discussions, and hands-on activities
    • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Administer and score standardized tests and assessments to measure student progress
    • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students, parents, and school officials
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school officials to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment
    • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices and research-based strategies
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and performance
    • Prepare and submit reports to parents and school officials as required
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience
    • 5 years or more of experience working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Certifications and Qualifications
    • Valid teaching certification or license in Special Education
Working Conditions

This is a temporary, part-time position, working 30-35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential.
