Opportunity:

Toromont Cat is seeking a skilled trades recruiter to hire skilled trade workers, including Heavy Equipment Technicians, Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics, Welders, and Machinists. This role will effectively source, recommend, and influence successful hiring outcomes.

NOC: 12101

Salary: $72,200

  • Proactively source skilled trade workers through various strategies and initiatives to meet Toromont's annual recruiting goals; conduct pre-screens and behaviour-based interviews.
  • Manage background checks and behavioural assessments to completion for hires.
  • Leverage our ATS (UKG / UltiPro) and other data tracking tools in a timely manner to capture and all recruiting activity for effective reporting.
  • Deliver a superior customer experience to all customers and stakeholders
  • Undertake other relevant assignments as required in support of the business

Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience recruiting for Heavy Equipment Mechanics / Technicians and related skilled trades (Heavy Equipment Dealership recruiting experience is an asset)
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar; a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources or similar designation is an asset
  • Experience with UKG / Ultipro Recruiting module
  • A skilled trades license (421A; 310T is an asset)
  • English written and spoken, bilingual (English / French) is an asset
