Assistant/Associate Professor in Comparative Medicine

Position Overview: The Canadian Association for Neuroscience is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track role in Comparative Medicine at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be appointed across the faculties of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Primary teaching duties will be focused on undergraduate education within the Faculty of Medicine, specifically in pre-clinical disciplines aligned with the candidate's expertise.
Research Expectations: The appointee is expected to establish a robust, externally funded independent research program, contribute to graduate-level courses, and provide mentorship to both graduate and undergraduate students engaged in Biomedical Sciences research. The Department is actively involved in both fundamental and applied research, particularly in areas such as physiology, microanatomy, pharmacology, toxicology, cell and molecular biology, and neuroscience.
Program Offerings: The Department offers accredited MSc and PhD programs and boasts state-of-the-art laboratory and animal facilities, complemented by access to clinical veterinary specialty services.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a PhD with relevant post-doctoral experience and a substantial publication record in a field pertinent to the department's focus. Compensation will be aligned with qualifications and experience, subject to budgetary considerations.
