About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Therapy Assistant to join our team at My Empower Therapy Inc. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients in achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Healthcare Professionals

You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This will involve assisting with patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing support with daily activities.

Carry Out Treatment Programs

Under the direction of our physiotherapists and occupational therapists, you will carry out treatment programs designed to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. This will involve supervising technical and support staff, administering evaluative tests and procedures, and scheduling and confirming appointments.

Supervise Technical and Support Staff

You will be responsible for supervising and guiding our technical and support staff to ensure that they are providing the highest level of care to our patients.

Administer Evaluative Tests and Procedures

You will be responsible for administering evaluative tests and procedures to assess patient progress and identify areas for improvement.

Schedule and Confirm Appointments

You will be responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments with patients and healthcare professionals.

Teach and/or Supervise Exercises

You will teach and/or supervise exercises to patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Requirements
  • Education

You will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

You will have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.

Working Conditions
  • Work Term

This is a permanent position.

Work Language

The primary language of work is English.

Hours

You will work 40 hours per week.
