Job Summary

The Government of Northwest Territories is seeking a highly skilled Community Infrastructure Planning Manager to join our team in Fort Simpson. As a key member of our organization, you will provide expert advice to community governments on the planning, design, construction, and operation of community public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on project planning and program evaluation theories and principles, including scheduling, cost estimation, financial management, and project delivery.
  • Develop and implement effective community infrastructure planning, design, construction, and operation strategies.
  • Collaborate with community governments to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of community public infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of asset management principles and processes, community works, and infrastructure planning methods.
  • Provide advice on financing and procurement processes, land use planning processes, and applicable regulatory processes in the NWT.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require an undergraduate degree in engineering, planning, project management, physical science, or a related field, and 3 years of professional experience in a related area, such as project management of capital infrastructure projects, municipal infrastructure, municipal program delivery, and infrastructure planning for water and sanitation, earthworks, transportation systems, and building construction.
