The Opportunity

Job Summary: We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist I (MLTI) to join our team in Core Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks including blood collection, specimen processing, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Gases analysis, Hematology and Coagulation testing, antibody investigation techniques, blood component testing, packaging of specimens, and Specialized Chemistry procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collection, specimen processing, and other laboratory tasks as required.
  • Conduct Clinical Chemistry, Blood Gases analysis, Hematology and Coagulation testing, antibody investigation techniques, blood component testing, and Specialized Chemistry procedures.
  • Package and prepare specimens for transport to other laboratories or for further testing.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and accurate testing.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements

Education and Experience: A Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with relevant major is required. CSMLS registration is mandatory, and NSCMLT licensing is essential.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in at least six (6) of the listed functions is necessary.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently is crucial.
  • Dedication to continuous training and professional development is expected.
  • Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
