Position Overview

As a vital member of the Communications, Engagement, and Marketing team, the Communications Advisors play a crucial role in fostering effective communication strategies within Nova Scotia Health. This position involves collaboration with various departments to enhance relationships with staff, physicians, and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication and engagement initiatives that address organizational challenges and opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies.
  • Provide expert advice on corporate communications, public relations, and crisis management.
  • Create compelling content for web and social media platforms to engage diverse audiences.
  • Manage public relations issues and reputation management effectively.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in marketing, public relations, digital communications, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in communications or marketing.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing and layout design.
  • Experience in managing projects within budget and deadlines.

Work Environment

This role offers various employment types, including permanent, temporary, and casual relief positions. Qualified candidates will be placed in a talent pool for future opportunities.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $40.22.
