YOUR ROLE

The Planner plays a crucial role in supporting the growth of Aldo North America through effective sales planning and inventory oversight. This position will assist in managing both in-season and future sales planning, markdown strategies, and profit/contribution analysis, with a strong emphasis on inventory management and assortment strategy, aligned with financial objectives. Reports to the Planning Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and analyze statistical data relevant to the area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain seasonal merchandise budgets.
  • Create and sustain seasonal assortment plans.
  • Monitor purchases against the receipt plan.
  • Engage in regional in-season management, providing sales and markdown forecasts and their impact on inventory levels.
  • Update weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Manage and forecast the open-to-buy in collaboration with the buying team.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports to support strategic business decisions.

DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail planning (focusing on inventory management, buying, or allocation).
  • Strong retail math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
  • Proficient in Excel, capable of analyzing large data sets.
  • Excellent prioritization, process optimization, and problem-solving skills; highly inquisitive.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Experience with Aptos, QuickSight, and SAP is a plus.
